Chankanaab National Reef Park

The Chankanaab National Reef Park was made to protect the flora and fauna and the vast amount of species living in the coral reefs.

It is located right in the heart of an amazing park. There are also Dolphin Discovery Cozumel facilities which help you enjoy the thrills of a day spent with dolphins. You can swim with lovely dolphins and also get hugs, and kisses from them. You can also interact with adorable sea lions and manatees. Marine mammal specialists teach the tourists about each of the species and habitats.

Dolphin Encounter in Cozumel

Dolphin Discovery Cozumel is a habitat where dolphins are born under the supervision and care of humans. The breeding program started by Miracle Cozumel is the reason for this miraculous habitat.

Cozumel island has lots of entertainment options and marine activities. The whole park is full of beaches, liquor, and tequila tasting, exotic animals like macaws, manatees, and sea lions, and many more activities. From all the activities one of the activities is swimming with dolphins. Dolphin Discovery-Cozumel gives you a close and personal experience with a dolphin in the Dolphin Encounter program.

This activity is one of the most sought after activities on this island by tourists. It is almost like an unreal experience to swim with dolphins. It is completely safe even for children and they have a lifeguard at the site at all times. The dolphin can shake your hand, dance with you, push you full speed across the water and give you kisses.

Don’t include infants under 3.3 ft in your reservation as they are free of charge; however, be sure to add them in the comments section of your reservation.

A valid ID is an essential requirement to visit Cozumel.

All participants must be at least 3.9 to perform the snorkel activities.

Chankanaab Park is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Children over 4.6 ft will be allowed to participate alone in any of our dolphin programs by paying the adult rate.

Children over 3.9 ft up to 4.6 ft will be allowed to participate alone in the Encounter program.

Children over 3.3 ft and up to 3.9 ft will be allowed to participate in the Encounter program accompanied by a paying adult (1 adult per kid).

Children under 3.3 ft will be considered infants and will perform Encounter activities regardless of the program in which they participate (it is a requirement that they fit the vest).

For security reasons, the use of cameras in the water is prohibited. Professional photos will be available for sale.

If you get to the Mexican island of Cozumel by cruise ship, verify your schedule before booking to avoid inconveniences. The Time Zone in Cozumel is EST (Eastern Standard Time) UTC/GMT -5 hours.

In this program at Cozumel, groups have a maximum of 20 people for a better experience.

The Chankanaab admission rate without the dolphin program is $23 USD for adults and $16 USD for kids.

The use of life jackets is mandatory in all water programs.

currently, we are NOT accepting US dollars in cash at our facilities (check-in, restaurant, boutique, and photos), however, we accept Mexican pesos in cash, Canadian dollars pounds, and euros. If you want to use an international credit or debit card, payments will be done in Mexican or US currency.

For safety reasons, expectant mothers of more than 5 can't participate in any of our aquatic programs.
Expectant mothers of less than 5 months can participate in the Encounter program only if accompanied by another adult and after signing a waiver.
