Chichen Itza’ is a world -famous complex Mayan Ruins on Mexico, Yucatan Peninsula. A massive step Pyramid known as El Castillo dominates 6.5-sq-km ancient city, which thrived from around 600 A.D. to the 1200s. Graphic stone carvings survive at structures like the ball court, temple of the warriors and the wall of the skulls.Nightly sound-and light shows illuminate the buildings’ sophisticated geometry.The most important archaeological zone in Yucatan, ancient capital of the Mayan Empire and voted one of the new “Seven Wonders of the world” due to its extraordinary architecture beauty and its geographical location.

Itinerary:
It is a 2 ½ hour ride there. So, I suggest a 7 – 9 AM departure since tour buses arrive around 12 noon. For me, I would leave early around 6:30 AM or 7:30AM. Stay there for 2 ½ – 3 hrs
When you are done at Chichen Itza, your driver would be waiting to take you to the Cenote Ik Kil where you can swim in the fresh water and have a buffet lunch of traditional Yucatan dishes.

Bring biodegradable insect repellent and sunblock.

ALL sites of ruins close at 5PM. Please plan your time accordingly.
