Chichen Itza’ is a world -famous complex Mayan Ruins on Mexico, Yucatan Peninsula. A massive step Pyramid known as El Castillo dominates 6.5-sq-km ancient city, which thrived from around 600 A.D. to the 1200s. It is a 2 ½ hour ride there. So, I suggest a 7 – 9 AM departure since tour buses arrive around 12 noon. For me, I would leave early around 6:30 AM or 7:30AM. Stay there for 2 ½ – 3 hrs
When you are done at Chichen Itza, your driver would be waiting to take you to the Cenote Ik Kil where you can swim in the fresh water and have a buffet lunch of traditional Yucatan dishes.
